• A simple process model was formulated and the reaction rate constants were related to the final yield figures
• Temperature dependency was added to the model
• The model predicted that raising the temperature by 10°C would increase yield by 12%

Output

• Yield increase was actually 15%
• Only 20 minutes were needed to prepare the model, regress the kinetics and run the simulations
• Minimal experimentation was needed
• Time for complete study was less than a week
