Anthony Henfrey BA, DPhil, MRSC, CChem, CFA (Non-executive director)

Tony has an international reputation in the fields of finance and corporate turnaround and adds a wealth of business experience gained at the highest levels of management. He holds a first class honours degree and a doctorate in natural sciences from Oxford University.  He is a chartered chemist and a member of The Royal Society of Chemistry (CChem, MRSC). After initially working as an investment analyst and consultant for a number of City organisations, he went on to take up his first managing director position in 1987. He subsequently held numerous positions with responsibilities including leading executive teams on executive turnaround assignments and overseeing the trade sales of several companies.

Tony is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has served as President of the Houston Society of Financial Analysts, one of the largest regional members of the US Society of Investment Professionals.  He is a fellow of St Catherine’s College, Oxford (serving as Co-Chair of the College’s Development Council) and Chairman of the Gabrieli Trust. Tony was elected a Founder Member and Fellow of The Society of Turnaround Professionals in April 2001 in recognition of his contribution to turnaround and change management and serves on a number of Society committees.  Tony is also a Trustee and Director of The Northern Rock Foundation.
